Prince George’s Arts Policy promotes the City as the Northern Arts Capital of BC by supporting the arts, encouraging partnerships, stimulating excellence and providing access for all citizens.
City as Support or Participant
The City of Prince George is a member of the Creative City Network.
The City of Prince George participated in the development of the Cultural Plan for the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George focused on building the capacity of the culture sector.
Community Complimentary Strategies
Membership in cultural organizations totals 2,000 while annual attendance at Prince George Symphony Orchestra and Theatre Northwest events in 2009 was 23,500.
