How Will We Measure Progress?
There are two levels of measuring progress toward our goals;
- Outcomes
- Outputs

1. Outcomes are a measure of the condition in the community against a goal. For example, measure the amount of a certain pollutant in the air against the goal of clean air.
We are experimenting with an online tool to show you progress at the outcome level.
(The tool is under construction and measures shown will be trial measures to test options)
2. Outputs are measures of the specific actions organizations and people are taking toward a community goal. For example, an organization may reduce emissions of a certain pollutant into the air.
In the future we would like to have two lists of outputs well known in the community:
- A list of the actions taken by individuals and organizations in the past year.
- A list of actions planned by individuals and organizations for the year ahead.
Measuring Progress:
Can we coordinate our efforts (our outputs) in order to reach the desired goals of the community (the desired outcomes), and can we see progress at the outcome level?
This site is being developed to measure our efforts (our outputs), and the results (the outcomes), to find out.
