Implementing myPG the Integrated Community Sustainability Plan
Implementation: "myPG in action!" Now that the community has a plan, next is the task of implementation, how do we begin work to reach the goals of the community.
The first steps toward implementing myPG are underway by updating the Official Community Plan to reflect the community’s sustainability goals, and “Prince George 2.0”: advancing the City’s communication and engagement practices from successes learned and test-driven in the myPG process.
The implementation of myPG will have three main processes:
1. Internal to the City of Prince George as an organization
2. Coordination between organizations in the community that are myPG partners
3. Support the involvement of residents
..........to work together toward the sustainability goals expressed by the community.
The work to develop these programs is underway, details were presented to City Council on October 25, 2010, and are now in progress.
The fundamental goal of implementing sustainability strategies is to encourage communication and coordinate resources within our community to work toward a better future, a future we all would like for our community.
